What is Board Life Matters? Why should I use it?
Are you interested in volunteering to serve on a nonprofit board, but not sure where to begin? Do you work for, or know of, a nonprofit or corporation struggling to inspire and engage individuals in nonprofit board service? Are you a nonprofit board member who wants to share your story and resources to build up other nonprofit board members?
You’ve come to the right place.
Board Life Matters is designed to take the guesswork out of nonprofit board service.
Inspired by the call of President Obama to engage more Americans in public service, and dismayed by the lack of visibility for nonprofit board service along the public service continuum, a crew of BoardSource employees and nonprofit board members came together to raise awareness about the importance and benefits of nonprofit board service.
This site offers first-hand accounts of the path and perks of nonprofit board service. Our goal is to inspire individuals and organizations to strengthen their communities through service on nonprofit boards.
Do I need to sign in to use the site?
Nope.
Is Board Life Matters free?
Yep. The site only requires a way to connect to the Internet.
What’s up with the “Coming Soon” labels?
